(NASDAQ: FRPT) group company, today announced that it has received a firm fixed price modification to existing contract M67854-07-C-5031 from U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command with a total value of approximately $106.9 million for the purchase of 1,000 independent suspension system ("ISS") kits. The award consists of 650 ISS kits for Cougar Category I vehicles and 350 ISS kits for Cougar Category II vehicles. Delivery of the kits is expected to begin in the Company's 2011 third quarter and be completed by December 31, 2011.

The product label indicates that the can contains Chicken Noodle soup; however, the can may contain Cream of Chicken soup. The soup contains milk, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this alert, and there is no risk to consumers who are not allergic to milk.

Politics: Gov. Gregoire Signs Landmark Legislation to Transition State Off of Coal Power Gov. Chris Gregoire today, joined by TransAlta executives, legislators, and members of the environmental and labor communities, signed legislation to phase out coal-fired energy production at the TransAlta power plant in Centralia. Senate Bill 5769 solidifies into law a collaborative agreement to close the state's two coal boilers – the first in 2020 and the second in 2025. The agreement provides a path to cleaner power while allowing the necessary time to provide stability to the electrical grid and to the community in Lewis County.

Technology: Scientists Can Track Origin of Shark Fins Using DNA Zip-Coding An international team of scientists, led by the Institute for Ocean Conservation Science at Stony Brook University, has used DNA to determine that groups of dusky sharks (Carcharhinus obscurus) and copper sharks (Carcharhinus brachyurus) living in different coastal regions across the globe are separate populations of each species. Both are large apex predators that are heavily exploited for the shark fin trade, which claims tens of millions of animals every year to produce the Asian delicacy, shark fin soup. Many of these species are declining as a result of this fishing pressure for their fins.
